You’ll find resort after resort and there’s the perfect choice to fit your style and needs. We stayed at the beautiful Barceló Maya Riviera resort. Made up of 5 resorts in one location this all-inclusive resort has plenty of room to spread out. Although it seems massive, it definitely does not feel crowded. With plenty of pools and relaxing nooks spread throughout the property it’s easy to sneak off for some quite alone time, but just as easy to find an activity when you’re ready.
Made up of the Barceló Maya Palace, Barceló Maya Beach, Barceló Maya Caribe, Barceló Maya Colonial, and the Barceló Maya Tropical, we stayed at the Palace but had plenty of opportunity to explore the other resorts as well. You’ll want to put on your walking shoes because things can be spread out but if you’d rather ride, the red double decker bus with the open-air roof is the perfect way to get around.
Explore the mall and the craft shop, dance the night away at the discotheque, or indulge at the spa, where you find the fitness center, water treatment area, a nail hair and makeup salon and can order specialized spa treatments.
With buffets located throughout the resort you’ll have a hard time choosing from all of the choices. If a sit down meal is your style, you’ll find a variety of restaurants to choose from. Italian, Brazilian, Japanese, Caribbean, Seafood, of course Mexican and much more. Just be sure to make reservations and make them as early as possible as there is a limited number of seatings available and they can go fast.
